Training will begin again in Stuttgart on June 25th at 10am. From June 26th through July 2nd, the VfB players will then participate in a training camp in St. Moritz, Switzerland and then carry on to a second training camp from July 7th through 14th in Donnaueschingen.
On July 9th, VfB will play a friendly game against Grasshopper Zurich in Waldshut-Tiengen before taking on local rivals Stuttgarter Kickers in Stuttgart on July 14th. Between July 20th and 23rd, Christian Gross and his men will be involved in the 'Uhren Cup 2010' in Grenchen. On july 29th, the first leg of the UEFA Europa League qualification will then be played out. From July 30th until August 4th, a further training camp will take place before the second leg of the UEFA Europa League qualifier is undertaken on August 5th.
Season opener in Stuttgart on August 8th
The fans can then look forward to the big 'Season Opening' in Stuttgart on August 8th. The games in the first round of the DFB Cup will be held on August 13th/14th and 15th. Should VfB progress from the third qualifying round in European competition, the first leg of the ‘Play-Off' round will be played on August 19th. The DFL have set the dates for the first match day in the Bundesliga on August 20th/21st and 22nd. The return leg in the UEFA Europa League ‘Play-Off's' is on August 26th, with the second match day in the Bundesliga set for August 27th/28th and 29th.
