Simon Terodde will continue his hunt for goals in the shirt with the infamous red hoop. The top-scorer in the recently completed ‘2. Bundesliga’ season signed a contract extension with VfB this afternoon, binding him to the club until 30.06.2019. The new deal includes an option to extend his contract for a further year.
Simon Terodde made the move from VfL Bochum to Stuttgart last summer and, in his first season with the Cannstatt Boys, he scored 25 goals in 32 league appearances.
Sporting Director Jan Schindelmeiser:
"Simon is an important part of the team – not just because of his sporting qualities and his goals, but also as a person, as he personifies many of the values we consider important here at VfB Stuttgart. With his ambitiousness and his professional approach, he fits in here perfectly. In very open and familiar discussions, we agreed on contractual details, which suited both parties."
Simon Terodde:
"My first year at VfB could hardly have gone better. We developed exceptionally as a team and won promotion with the exceptional support of our fans. I’d like to thank all those responsible at VfB for the open and honest exchanges we’ve enjoyed throughout the campaign and in the past few days. Now I want to play my part in ensuring VfB settle back into the Bundesliga quickly and I am looking forward to the coming years in Stuttgart."
