Daniel Ginczek makes the move from 1. FC Nürnberg to VfB Stuttgart, having signed a deal on Friday until June 30th, 2018. The 23-year-old striker has gained experience in the Bundesliga and in Germany’s second flight with VfL Bochum, FC St. Pauli and 1. FC Nürnberg – notching up 77 appearances and scoring 26 goals. Daniel Ginczek previously worked his way through all of Germany’s international youth teams. The front man from Arnsberg is currently recovering from a cruciate ligament tear which he suffered in February.
“Daniel is a striker, who at just 23 years old has tremendous potential and fits in perfectly with us,“ said VfB Director of Sport Fredi Bobic, who added: „He is big, robust, fast and has proven his eye for goal at his previous clubs. All that completely fulfils our requirements.“
Daniel Ginczek commented on the move: „Up until my injury I had a great time in Nuremberg, but I really wanted to continue playing in the Bundesliga. For that reason, I am really looking forward to Stuttgart, VfB and the fans there. The club is steeped in tradition and is a top address in professional football. It’s the next step in my development.”
