The 26-year-old made his initial move to the Bundesliga, signing for Borussia Dortmund in the 2010/2011 season, making his top-flight debut in February 2011. Since then, Mitchell Langerak has made 19 Bundesliga appearances for the Black and Yellows, twelve games in the DFB-Cup, three in the UEFA Champions League and one DFL-Supercup match. During that period, the goalkeeper also played ten games for the BVB reserves.
In the closing phase of previous season, the 1,93 meter tall Australian international took over as Dortmund’s first choice keeper. Langerak was twice a Bundesliga title winner with Dortmund and once won the DFB-Cup. At home in Australia, where the keeper played from 2007 until 2010, Langerak was also a title winner, winning the league in 2008/2009 as first choice keeper for Melbourne Victory.
