Julian Green makes an immediate move to VfB. The 21-year-old attacker has signed a contract in Stuttgart until June 30th, 2019. The details of the deal remain undisclosed. The eight-time US international (three goals) will wear the number 37 jersey at VfB.

Sporting director Jan Schindelmeiser:
"Julian can be used in a number of different attacking positions and he enjoyed an excellent sporting education at FC Bayern. We also believe he has the potential to develop further. He is dangerous in front of goal and will add further dynamic to our game with his pace."

Julian Green:
"I joined Bayern at U15 level and, as so many others, I always dreamed of making it as a pro. I have achieved that now. Over the past three years I gathered a great deal of experience. That’s something I am very happy about and grateful for. I allowed myself the time I needed and tried everything. The decision to sign for VfB Stuttgart brings all that to an end form e. Last month I saw all of their games. I believe I will be well suited to VfB and that I can set myself new goals. VfB is a super club. I am really looking forward to the new tasks and challenges, to the new city and to my new team mates. Most of all I am looking forward to supporting the team in fulfilling their target of promotion in the second half of the season."
