Hannes Wolf: "It was a tough challenge here in Bielefeld. On the whole we played quite well, but found ourselves behind early on. There was then a phase during which we didn’t defend well and Bielefeld raised the intensity in successfully pressing for an equaliser. Even after the 2-2, we immediately created some chances. The goal by Simon shortly before the end was extremely important. For the 3-2 he was excellently set through by Daniel."
Simon Terodde: "Those were ninety intensive minutes. We knew we would find spaces, because Bielefeld look to play a pressing game high up the park. Ginni created an initial impulse upon his introduction, as the Bielefeld defence no longer just had me to concentrate on. The timing of the winner was somewhat fortunate, but in the end, we deserved the victory. Having previously missed the odd opening, I kept my cool and I am delighted to have made it 3-2. It was made quite clear again tonight that the route to our ultimate goal is going to be a rocky one."
Christian Gentner: "We knew Bielefeld would be aggressive, fight hard and operate with high balls. We needed time not only to hold our own in the challenges, but also to get a grip on things on the pitch. As we have proven more than once this season, we once again showed the moral strength we possess. In tonight’s game, the substitutions were vitally important in generating a fresh impulse. Ginni was particularly active up front."
