Profile
Stefan Jung was elected as a member of the executive committee of VfB Stuttgart 1893 e.V. on 22 March 2025. He was born on 15 February 1980 in Albstadt-Ebingen, grew up in the Swabian Alb. Following his bachelor's degree in economics in a global programme at Copenhagen Business School, the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and Tsinghua University in Beijing, as well as an MBA programme at London Business School, he completed executive education in leadership at Harvard Business School.
Stefan started his career as a strategy consultant at Boston Consulting Group and Bain & Company in the Stockholm, Copenhagen, Munich and New York offices. As founder of several technology companies, such as Zalora, Lazada, HappyFresh, Rocket Internet Asia and Venturra, Stefan has set up and successfully floated start-ups mainly in Asia (on the New York Stock Exchange and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange), or had companies acquired (by Alibaba, FWD Group, Delivery Hero etc.). After his career as a technology entrepreneur, he co-founded Antler Innovation in 2018 to support the next generation of founders. Antler is a global venture capital firm with 30 offices worldwide and one of the largest platforms for start-ups today. He has been working there part-time since 2022 and is no longer responsible for the day-to-day business as a board member.
In his free time he enjoys holidaying with his family, doing sport (tennis and running), buying lots of books (and only reading half of them), collecting football shirts and travelling to watch his beloved VfB’s away matches, as he’s been doing for 30 years.
