ELF Championship Game 2025 at the MHP Arena

American football is returning to Stuttgart, with the European League of Football and VfB joining forces to host the Championship Game 2025 at the MHP Arena.

The fourth season of the European League of Football gets under way this weekend, but the final of the following 2025 campaign is already looming large on the horizon: The European League of Football and VfB have joined forces to stage the Championship Game 2025 at the MHP Arena, giving American football fans throughout the region the chance to enjoy a major showpiece for the first time since the 1990s, when four Eurobowl finals were held at the stadium in Stuttgart.

“We’re very proud to be able to announce this great news so near the start of the current season and would like to thank the VfB management, who are very interested in bringing the pinnacle of the best European football league to Stuttgart in addition to the Champions League in soccer,” said Zeljko Karajica, managing director of the European League of Football. “We’re looking forward to working together and I can promise that the city will enjoy a great football occasion for the whole family in late summer 2025.”

“We’re delighted to be able to host the ELF Championship Game 2025 at our MHP Arena,” added Rouven Kasper, chief marketing and sales officer at VfB Stuttgart. “Stuttgart is a sporting city of international renown and American football has held a firm grip on our region for many years. Our aim is to expand the MHP Arena’s offering even further beyond football. We want to create emotional highlights and offer sports enthusiasts highly attractive, fantastic events. American football is a dynamic, exciting sport that is attracting more and more fans in Germany.”
