LBBW (Landesbank Baden-Württemberg) has been displayed on the shirts of the VfB Stuttgart youth teams since the start of August. Now it has been confirmed that the professional team will also wear the same logo on the field from the 2025/26 season. LBBW and VfB previously announced a few weeks ago that the bank is supporting the club’s third team as well as all academy sides as the main youth sponsor. The two parties have agreed not to disclose the financial details of the partnership.
A delighted Alexander Wehrle, CEO of VfB Stuttgart, said: “LBBW and VfB share a long and successful history of cooperation. We are therefore all the more pleased that, following their return to our partner family at the start of the season, we are now able to announce the next milestone together and that LBBW will be comprehensively committed to VfB Stuttgart as the main and shirt sponsor from summer 2025.”
“We are proud to be the main sponsor and strong partner of VfB Stuttgart going forward, and also to be present on the Bundesliga team’s chest from next season,” said LBBW CEO Rainer Neske. “LBBW has always assumed social responsibility, whether here in our home region or in our nationwide and international activities. This is deeply rooted in our identity. After all, banks have always connected the economy, regions and people – and that is also what our new partnership is all about.”
Partners united by performance and ambition
The largest sponsorship deal in LBBW’s history also symbolises the bank's strategy: growth and relevance for the best medium-sized universal bank. These goals are linked to its involvement with VfB, which is set to increase nationwide brand awareness as well as international presence.
