Daniel Ginczek is making an immediate move to VfL Wolfsburg. The striker joined VfB from 1. FC Nürnberg in the summer of 2014. Over the past four years, the 27-year-old made a total of 48 appearances for VfB in the Bundesliga (17 goals) and played 19 games in the '2. Bundesliga' (four goals), as well as three DFB Cup matches (2 goals). The goal getter suffered several injury-related setbacks, but always battled back and has now chosen to take on a new challenge in Wolfsburg. VfB would like to take this opportunity to thank Daniel Ginczek for his efforts in the shirt with the infamous red hoop and wish "Ginni" and his family all the very best for the future.
Daniel Ginczek: "I am proud to have worn the VfB jersey for so long and to have been a part of this exceptional club. It was an unforgettable period with incredible celebrations and major setbacks – for VfB and also for me personally. My family and I always felt very much at home in Stuttgart. The club, the city and the people have a very special place in my heart. However, I had the feeling that the time had come for a new challenge at this phase in my career. VfB understood my wish and I would like to thank those responsible for the open and honest discussions we held. Ultimately, all parties are satisfied – which was very important to me."
