VfB Stuttgart and SC Freiburg have agreed a permanent move for Pascal Stenzel. The versatile defender is therefore remaining with the lads from Canstatt after spending the past season on loan. The 24-year-old has signed a contract until 30 June 2024 for an undisclosed fee.
Sporting director Sven Mislintat:
“Pascal has been a very important factor for us from day one, both on and off the pitch. His impressive playing time over the season just gone underlines the big part Pascal played in our promotion to the Bundesliga.”
Pascal Stenzel:
“The decision to sign for VfB was a very easy one for me. It’s been a great year for the team and also for me personally. We achieved our main goal and I played a lot of games. I also feel very happy off the pitch within the team and the club.”
