The VfB home shirt for the 2021/22 season combines the club’s traditional colours and famous design with a modern touch. The white shirt with the red ring around the chest now has red and black trim, underlining the traditional colours of the local Württemberg region. The sponsor’s name is in the middle of the chest, as was the case with the legendary jerseys throughout the club’s history.

The club had sat down with kit supplier JAKO to develop new ideas – both in terms of the design and the production, not least in terms of the material used. What was already the case last year for the green clash jerseys will now apply to all shirts for the 2021/22 season, namely that they will be made by JAKO in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way using 100% recycled polyester.
“Mercedes-Benz Bank is proud to be the main sponsor of VfB Stuttgart and is looking forward to a tenth season of working closely with the club," said Benedikt Schell, chairman of the board of Mercedes-Benz Bank. “The new home shirt pays homage to the much-loved jerseys of the 1980s and 1990s, while the new production methods using recycled material are focused on greater sustainability and environmental protection. Those are values that are also very much part of the business strategy of Mercedes-Benz Bank and Daimler.”
"The dynamic design of the new home shirt is a perfect fit with our young, attacking squad,” said VfB Chief Executive Officer Thomas Hitzlsperger. “We have the best possible partnerships with Mercedes-Benz Bank and JAKO which have formed the basis of these jerseys that are full of quality and tradition. We already can’t wait for the VfB Vorstandsvorsitzende Thomas Hitzlsperger first match in our new kit and we hope that plenty of fans will be allowed to watch it live in the Mercedes-Benz Arena.”
