Ömer Faruk Beyaz will join VfB Stuttgart from Fenerbahçe in summer 2021 on a free transfer. The 17-year-old midfielder, who is already part of the Fenerbahçe first-team squad and has featured in the Turkey U-21 team, has agreed a contract through to 30 June 2025.
“Ömer is an incredible talent and is one of the hottest properties throughout Europe in his year group,” said sporting director Sven Mislintat. “The fact that by the age of 17, he has already played for the Fenerbahçe first team and Turkey’s U-21s further underlines his incredible potential. We are delighted and also very proud that Ömer has chosen VfB despite significant competition from other clubs, and that we’ve been able to pick up a player of his calibre without having to pay a transfer fee.”
“I would really like to thank those in charge at VfB Stuttgart for the confidence that they have shown in me,” said Beyaz. “My family, my management and I chose VfB because they are well known for showing faith in young players and the development of the club is very positive. I’ll be giving it all I have right from my very first day in Stuttgart to repay the faith shown in me.”
