Florian Schock extends contract

The third-choice goalkeeper has signed a deal until 2024.

VfB Stuttgart have extended the contract of academy product Florian Schock until 30 June 2024. The 20-year-old goalkeeper joined VfB in 2016 and progressed through the youth teams from the U16s to the U21s. In September 2021, he was then promoted to the first-team squad, completing the goalkeeping trio together with Florian Müller and Fabian Bredlow. Schock thus became the latest keeper to take the step from the club’s academy to the senior squad.

Sporting director Sven Mislintat: “Since the summer training camp, Flo has earned his place in the first-team squad with remarkable passion and great ambition. His development as a player is constantly advancing, so for us it’s a logical move to tie him to VfB beyond the summer.”

Flo Schock: “This is my sixth year at VfB. I started in the U16 team and obviously, over the years the big dream of a professional career was always there. Therefore, this contract is a special feeling and an added incentive for me. I want to thank the VfB management for their faith and of course all the coaches and mentors who have supported me on my journey so far.”
