The 21-year-old rose through the ranks in VfB’s youth academy and in 2019 captained the U19 team to success in the DFB Cup and to the final of the German Youth Championship. The midfielder made his Bundesliga debut last season at home to FC Augsburg.
VfB sporting director Sven Mislintat:
“In the years since he joined VfB, Luca has developed really well, initially in the youth academy, then in the U21s and with the first team. He suffered a long-term injury, which contributed to him not being able to establish himself in the first team as we’d hoped. Now the opportunity arose for Luca to join a renowned team in the Hungarian league, and he approached us requesting to make this step. We granted his request and we wish him all the best for the future, both on and off the pitch.”
