Darko Churlinov has left VfB Stuttgart to join Burnley FC in the English Championship. The 22-year-old has been with the Cannstatt club since January 2020 and achieved promotion back to the Bundesliga with VfB in the summer of that year.
Sporting director Sven Mislintat:
“Darko has developed very well in the last couple of years. As well as his footballing ability, he is particularly defined by his great willingness and desire to win. We would’ve liked to have kept him, but at the same time we can understand his wish for more playing time. Darko will always be welcome at VfB. We wish him lots of success and luck at Burnley.”
Darko Churlinov:
“I’ve had a very nice time at VfB, which was important for my development and which I’ll always look back fondly on. I’d like to thank everyone who’s supported me along the way. Now I’m looking forward to a new challenge at Burnley, and I wish VfB and their loyal fans all the best for the future.”
