VfB and the club from the Polish capital have agreed a loan move for Gil Dias for the remainder of this season.
The left winger moved to Stuttgart from Benfica in January 2023 and has made eight appearances in the shirt with the red hoop. Dias has scored one goal each in the DFB Cup and the Bundesliga, including an important equaliser just four minutes after coming on for his debut in the DFB Cup round of 16 match at Paderborn. His league goal came against 1. FC Köln in February, when the 26-year-old opened the scoring in a 3-0 win at home.
VfB sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth: “Gil didn’t need much time to settle in. He scored important goals for us in the league and in the cup pretty much straight away. After that, things didn’t progress for him with the same momentum. Nevertheless, he’s always remained a team player. The move to Legia Warsaw now offers him the chance of regular game time. We wish Gil and his new club a successful season.”
