Sebastian Hoeneß’s men took charge from the first whistle and opened the scoring on 26 minutes through Massimo. The birthday boy was celebrating again just three minutes later as he took advantage of an underhit back pass to slot in his second goal.
Six minutes into the second half, Undav made it 3-0 with a powerful shot from the edge of the penalty area. John Iredale pulled one back for the Bundesliga 2 side in the 54th minute before a long-range strike from Haraguchi (61’) and a goal from U19 player Raimund (77’) wrapped up the 5-1 victory.
Head coach Hoeneß said after the game: “I was again pleased with the way we played, especially the attitude, the commitment and the result. We saw a few nice goals.”
