In a move that will bolster the back line, Jeff Chabot has joined the club from 1. FC Köln, with the 26-year-old central defender signing a contract through to 30 June 2028. Chabot played 34 of 36 matches for 1. FC Köln across all competitions last season.
Julian Jeffrey Gaston Chabot, to use his full name, has played at the highest level in three different countries to date. As well 57 appearances in the Bundesliga for Köln, who he joined in 2022, he has also played 44 times in the Italian Serie A (for Sampdoria and Spezia Calcio) and 48 in the Dutch Eredivisie (for FC Groningen and Sparta Rotterdam).

He’s already shown how good he is against the likes of Serhou Guirassy, keeping him under wraps when the two went one-on-one. The experience, mindset and quality that he brings mean that we are already better equipped to compete on three fronts next season.”
