The operation on Dan-Axel Zagadou’s knee took place on Wednesday after the defender suffered a collateral ligament injury in training in late September. The surgery was a success but ‘Daxo’ will not be available for several months.
“Daxo was getting back to his best, which makes this setback all the more bitter for him and also for us,” said board member for sport Fabian Wohlgemuth. “At the same time, we fully expect that Daxo, with his great fighting spirit, will also conquer this challenge. We’ll give him all the support he needs.”
