The V stands for the vibes in Cannstatt and is the core element of VfB’s new away and goalkeeper shirts. The prominent V in the design and the three striking colours of red, ultraviolet and aquamarine ensure that the away jersey and the two goalkeeper shirts are far more than mere sporting apparel. The shirts hark back to the VfB look from the 1980s and 1990s, and tap into the special Bad Cannstatt retro-vibe. The heart on the ring that features inside the collar is a link to the VfB home jersey and symbolises a love and connection with the club – regardless of where the shirts are worn.
The new jerseys are available for adults in sizes ranging from S to 5XL and cost €84.99, and in children’s sizes from 116 to 164 for €64.99. The away jersey is also available in women’s sizes 34 to 44. The women’s and children’s away jerseys will be available from mid-August.
“Our new away and goalkeeper shirts are the perfect continuation of our very special jersey designs that we implement with our partner JAKO and produce in a sustainable way,” said Rouven Kasper, VfB Stuttgart’s chief marketing and sales officer. “They are designed to build up anticipation ahead of the new season, which will hopefully see us experience yet more emotional moments in white and red.”
