VfB boss Sebastian Hoeneß gave his team two days off after the 2-1 victory at Borussia Dortmund last weekend – a move which appears to have had the desired effect. “The lads seem fresh, full of energy and in good spirits,” said the head coach, whose players will look to take that freshness into their upcoming clash with VfL Wolfsburg at the MHP Arena on Saturday 15 February (kick-off 15:30 CET).
“A difficult task awaits us”
“Wolfsburg have great strength in depth,” Hoeneß continued. “You can clearly see the impact Ralph Hasenhüttl has had. They have become more solid since our first meeting this season. A really difficult task awaits us.” Having played out a 2-2 draw back in September, VfB are hoping to go one better on this occasion with a strong performance and the backing of nearly 60,000 home supporters at the MHP Arena.
