Rieder among September “Rookie of the Month” nominees

The VfB Stuttgart attacker has been nominated by the DFL for the September “Rookie of the Month” award. Voting is open until Thursday.

Fabian Rieder has featured in all six of VfB’s Bundesliga matches so far this season, and has played his part with a goal and two assists. Now the summer signing has been nominated for the DFL’s “Rookie of the Month” award for September.

VfB fans can cast their votes for the VfB attacker until 23:59 CEST on Thursday 10 October. Alongside Rieder, Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Kaua Santos are also in contention for the prize.

Fan votes count for 40 percent

In addition to fans, clubs and selected Bundesliga pundits can also vote for the “Rookie of the Month”. Fan votes count for 40 percent of the final tally; club and expert votes each make up 30 percent of the ballot.
