VfB forward El Bilal suffered a metatarsal fracture in his international appearance for country Mali against Eswatini at the start of the week. Scans in Stuttgart confirmed the extent of the injury, which will require surgery and rule the 23-year-old out of action for a number of months.
The attacker has scored three goals in 13 games in all competitions so far this season – including the winner in the 1-0 triumph at Juventus in the UEFA Champions League.
